The generic text associated with a 503 error is \u201cService Unavailable\u201d and it can mean variety of things. This default error response can be confusing to the customers and have a basic look and feel.<span id=\"more-29629\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>This guide will show you how to set friendly or prettier 503 custom error page through Fastly module which will be served when:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>When origin returns a response status greater than 500<\/li>\n<li>When origin is down (i.e unhealthy, timeout, etc)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To set custom Error page, go to:<\/p>\n<pre><code>Magento admin &gt; Stores &gt; Configuration &gt; Advanced &gt; System &gt; Full Page Cache &gt; Fastly Configuration<\/code><\/pre>\n<p>Under the Fastly Configuration, click on the <strong>Error\/Maintenance page:<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-29630\" src=\"\/\/www.sushilkumar.ind.in\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/how-to-set-error-maintenance-page-in-fastly-cdn.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"760\" height=\"636\" \/><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The modal window will pop up.
